Webb28 sep. 2015 · Next-gen codecs provide 50% bitrate improvements over x264, but are 10-20x as slow at the top settings required to accomplish such results. Normalized for CPU usage, libvpx already has some selling points when compared to x264; x265 is still too slow to be useful in most practical scenarios except in very high-end scenarios. Webb1 dec. 2024 · You might need to adjust the parameters on a new generation GPU. As RTX30** supports more encoding features compared to GTX10**, it might be that "--preset quality" is mapped to a slower setting. I suggest checking out for other --preset levels, and changing the cqp value to get the file size you need.

Webb7 maj 2024 · now encoding 5.7k video, 265 codec at CBR 64Mbit "Higher" setting, slow, but works. Highest - don't. Also I see 40-50% CPU utilization and 0-30% GPU. Tried to encode same file to 264 like 10Mbit and downscale it to 2048*1024, it was 80-90% CPU utilization and up to 85% GPU. Webb25 juli 2015 · The latter is for x264/x265 encoding. A Higher number means faster encoding, so ultrafast would map to 8 or so. Very slow/placebo maps to 0, and values in between map accordingly. 1-2 still gives reasonably good results and settings like 4-5 tend to be relatively fast but not entirely crap quality. pennon notice of agm
