Progressive 41shock leaking
WebJun 1, 2024 · #1 My right side Progressive 440 has begun to leak a little fluid. Not running, but sweating enough to gather dust. Performance has begun for fade. I called Progressive and they said they won't repair non warranty shocks even for a fee because they have stopped production of the 440 and only have enough parts on hand for the warranty repairs. WebAug 23, 2007 · I used a foot pump to get them at 41 psi. The service manual says, "Do not use tire gauges for checking air pressure. They may not indicate the correct air pressure because of air leakage that occur when the gauge is applied to the valve." So... what should I use instead? I just used a digital tire gauge I have been using for the bike.

They could also be leaking because of wear and tear to the shocks’ oil seal. A bent piston or bent shocks can also lead to leaking.

If you think the other might let go at some point, then a set of new Progressives would be a nice comfort upgrade. The valve I mentioned is the air valve - see if the "core" is loose. Otherwise the two don't mix and they seperate and one leaks out.
