The site launched in September 2024, following receipt of a grant from the Heritage Council under the Community Heritage Grants Scheme 2024. Webserved as a meeting point for the labour movement to celebrate, reflect and debate without the trammels of formal conference, faction or conflict. The solidarity engendered through the exchanges, particularly with our Welsh sister society, Llafur, was the genesis of a remarkable Irish support effort for the 1984-1985 British Miners' Strike.
