I gutted the insides of my catalytic converter yesterday and my car was fine after, maybee even ran a little stronger, but today when I started the car it barley stayed running after, even after it warmed up it was idleing rough and running sluggish. WebOct 4, 2012 · The CAT has a hanger on it, you need to pull the hanger off the frame post, then just unbolt the 2 on the front, and then the one on the rear of CAT, clamp. Now, the CAT is pretty stuck on the rear, just give a few good wiggles, well, many wiggles and it will slide right out. Put CAT in garage for later use. This is a "Test Pipe".

It won't hurt the sensor, just throw a light.
