I think if you merge the 5 to 3 outputs with 1 to 3 outputs you’d get 5 to 9 because you’re multiplying 3*3 to get an output of 9. I would recommend going onto the factorio sub reddit and asking there. There is probably a picture of one online somewhere in factorio ways but you can simply transfer it over to shapez.

WebSay you have 4 patches of iron, if you feed each into the bottom of the balancer, they will each output 1/4 to the top. As you deplete those patches and they dry up, each output at the top will still get fed. That’s the point of the balancer, each input at the bottom routes to every output at the top. Web3rd set is 4 to 1 through 8 . 4th set is 5 to 1 through 4 . At that point, I was a little worn out during the stream and I gave up on finding an elegant solution for the 5 to 5 balancer. I'll return to it later. These should all be count perfect and compression perfect designs. If they aren't, feel to point them out and I'll improve them. WebFirst I took my old 12-12 balancer design and used the fact that it had every output on a splitter pair (all loop backs are inside the splitter at the input) and basically had an 12-6 balancer ready. Then you simply add a 6-4 balancer and are done. Only a bit of belt fiddling to optimize the layout by size afterwards. WebHere is a 8 to 6, with braiding though so might lose some throughput if you are using blue belts. I might have an earlier design somewhere where I'm not using braiding. Unfortunately not, a 4 to 3 belt balancer would be a bit more difficult. And an 8 to 6 is a nightmare for the first balancer I'm designing myself.
