Another budget 331 here... hand ported E7 heads, stock valves, 10 to 1, E303, performer rpm efi. 295rwhp, 345tq, it had a little left on the table, the air/fuel ratio wasn't too spectacular. I have no idea on what my heads flow though, sorry.

So, if you want the total intake capacity for a 5.0L with E7TE heads, it's (68.4 * 8) = 547.2CFM, which DOES make sense. WebLooking down the port on the ported heads and you can easily see the valve opening. Porting tips from Joe Mondello: 1. Shape the intake valve guide boss so it curves with the port and points towards the port opening. 2. Make the back of the boss (towards the bowl) taper to a point, like a teardrop.

They used the E7TE as a baseline so you can compare flow number across the groups. With so many options, be sure you're comparing the correct Edel head. The gt-40 heads have bigger valves, and larger intake and exhaust ports than a set of E7 heads. Combustion chambers are close depending on which casting # you end up with. Unless you are an experienced head porter I am willing to bet a set of gt-40 heads will easily outflow your ported E7 heads. five extra years
